Our TCG finalists were competing in their WorldSkillsUK events last week in Blackpool and Northern Ireland. Up against the best of the best students from across the country our nail technicians, beauty specialists and master chefs were competing to be awarded their bronze, silver, or gold medals as well as the chance to compete in next year’s WorldSkills Olympics hosted in France.
Congratulations to the six students from across the Trafford College Group who competed last week: Amy Martin (Beauty Therapy ), Finlay Wood (Culinary Arts), Ben Lewis (Culinary Arts), Lauryn Reeves (Nail Technician), Tiaunna-Karajan McGlen (Nail Technician), Samantha Kinsey (Nail Technician).
With the competitions now over the excitement is building for the medal announcements which are being broadcast live on Channel 4 with Steph McGovern this Friday from 4pm.
We will be hosting a watch party for the final at our Aspire restaurant for all students, families, and staff involved.
