Danish visitors on cultural exchange

Students from Denmark visited Trafford College to learn more about what it is like to study in England.

BTEC students and GCSE Maths learners paired up with 30 teachers young people from Slotshaven Technical College in Denmark to showcase what we offer over 16s.

Visitors also sampled a taste of our Access to Higher Education Business course held at education facility, UA92.

Trafford College International Director Yvette Hansbury-Robinson said: “The students from Denmark buddied up with our students throughout the day to raise awareness of cultural differences, and we had excellent feedback – about the challenge of our maths lessons and the contrast of our further and higher education facilities.”

Students visited Trafford College for a whistle stop tour on Tuesday 21st January.

Yvette added: “The cultural exchange works both ways and our students kept asking questions and our teachers were very, very accommodating. It was a great opportunity for members of both sides to learn more about each other’s education systems.”
