Course Overview

The Trafford College Group offers pre-employment programmes in partnership with Pure Innovation, Trafford General Hospital, Trafford Council and Stepping Hill Hospital. We provide a unique opportunity for students with learning disabilities or difficulties to enhance their employment skills in a real working environment. This programme provides a stepping-stone to help students move out of college into employment. Including Maths and English bespoke provision depended on individual needs.

Course Requirements

This course may be perfect for you if you are:

Ready for paid employment
Aged 16-24
Have an EHC plan, learning difficulty and disability

What you will Learn

This one-year pre-employment course is based with the host employer, students study employability skills alongside three placements (one each term) with the host employer or nearby. We organise the job placements and support you, you learn new skills from new experiences which will help you to find paid work, you will be treated as an equal in the workplace which shows that you are valued.

Project based assessment Plus, a learner journal from the real work placement.

Employment within a range of sectors.

Career Options

A range of job opportunities from administration, office junior, ward clerk, ward assistant, hospital orderly, kitchen staff and support in residential homes.
