Any adult can apply for GCSE maths. Those who have a grade D/3 or Level 2 Functional Skills in Numeracy (maths) achieved within the last 5 years will be interviewed for suitability but will not need to go initial assessment. For applicants that have older qualifications/no formal qualifications, your basic Numeracy skills will be initially assessed through a written task at enrolment as well as the standard interview for suitability.

Please note: in most cases we are unable to offer you a resit if you already have a grade C or 4.

This is an essential qualification for employment and/or further training.

In this course you will learn a range of numeracy skill including number, algebra, geometry and statistics. There are 2 levels of study, Foundation and Higher – the tutor will decide which level is appropriate for your individual needs.
There are four areas: number, algebra, geometry and statistics.

You will complete 3 exams, one non-calculator paper and two calculator papers in May / June.

The Tuition fee for this course is £811.00

You do not have to pay this tuition fee if you have not already achieved a Grade 4 in Maths.

You may also be eligible for a full fee remission if you are in receipt of certain benefits or earning less than £20,888 per annum (if residing within Greater Manchester).
