Course Overview

This short programme aims to provide a basic understanding and develop knowledge of what rights and support is available to underpin mental health wellbeing including cultural diversity. Sessions will help learners to develop an understanding of how to interpret the term mental health and what support and guidance is available to ensure a positive perception is developed and maintained.

* Explanation of what the term mental health means

* Examination of issues that can cause mental health

* Understand how mental health problems might impact on a person

* Examine ways society can promote positive mental health

This programme will act as a foundation for any further work you decide to do in this area. Ideal if you are considering training to be a Mental Health First Aider.
