This course provides the opportunity for you to develop knowledge and skills in the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of engineering products and systems. This qualification could lead to employment in a number of sectors including Automatic Manufacturing, Maintenance Engineering or Machining.

After successful completion of this course you may go on to Higher Education or into a specialist area of employment.

You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. All the units are assessed by course assignments, which meet grading criteria for Pass, Merit and Distinction.

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
