Course Overview

The City and Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 course aims to give learners the basic underpinning knowledge and practical skills required for progression to the City and Guilds 2365-03 Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation qualification.

Please note that a key component of any full time programme is work experience, therefore we advise learners applying for the course to start sourcing out potential industry related opportunities, during their time at college.
(Important Note: Qualification aims are subject to change at the discretion of the Electrical Installation Team)

Course Requirements

5 GCSEs at grades 9 – 4 including maths, English and Science, however entry will be at the discretion of the electrical installation team depending on practical competence.
Existing applicants must have completed the relevant vocational Level 1 qualification and GCSE requirements stated above.

What you will Learn

Assessment

The completion of a variety of online multiple choice, written and practical assessments strategically planned during the academic year

Progression

Learners who successfully meet the criteria set out in the vocational, maths and English directives, whilst also adhering to the standards of the Trafford College Code of Conduct may progress to the City and Guilds 2365-03 Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation course.

Module 1: Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering
Module 2: Principles of Electrical Science
Module 3: Electrical Installations Technology
Module 4: Installation of wiring systems and enclosures
Module 5: Understand how to communicate with others within Building Services Engineering
