Is it time to spice up your cooking? Fancy a taste of the Caribbean without having to make the journey? At Trafford College our Caribbean Cooking course is a fun and informal introduction into the Caribbean food culture where our skilled chefs will teach you the top tips and skills you can use which will surely impress your family and friends. This course is designed for students who have an interest in spicy cooking from scratch creating dishes that are flavoursome with fresh ingredients.

A keen interest in cooking

Our Caribbean cooking course allows you to get familiar with the recipes and ingredients that you will be cooking with and through live demonstrations by our trained chefs you will experience the unique and authentic techniques which you will learn to do yourself in class. Our lessons include schooling on the history of Caribbean Cooking as well as the cooking processes, which will allow you as a learner to cook authentic meals such as jerk chicken, salt fish fritters and other dishes.
Slow cooking methods. Using a variety of ingredients to produce healthy and nourishing dishes. Picking up basic cookery skills and using knives in a professional Kitchen

Completion of this course has led many learners to explore other areas of authentic international cooking, including a number of our other catering courses including Italian, French and an introduction to cooking.
You may also wish to progress onto one of our professional cookery courses.
