Politics is concerned with how we are governed and how we as individuals can influence this influence this.
We look at The UK political system and then use this as a comparison for other systems around the world. We discuss core political ideas and aim for students to develop knowledge and an informed understanding of the influences and interests which have an impact on decisions in government and politics as well as the rights and responsibilities of individuals and groups.
The course also aims to develop the ability to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate political information to form arguments and make judgements.
