This course will be taken alongside two A level subjects. The Level 3 Applied Certiificate in Criminology is a qualification with elements of psychology, law and sociology that complements studies in humanities.
There are examined units on ‘Criminological Theories’ and ‘Crime and Punishment’ as well as internally set units on the ‘Changing Awareness of Crime’ and ‘Crime Scence to Courtroom’.
It is a very suitable programme for those students considering A Levels in the social sciences. In particula, it will aid those who are considering studying a programme including Sociology, Psychology and Law.

The main purpose of the WJEC Level 3 Certificate in Applied Crimonology is to use the qualification to support access to higher education degree courses. These will include combinations of criminology, law, psychology and sociology.
Assessment will be 50% coursework and 50% exam based.
