Our Level 2 in Public Services course is for those looking to develop their skills and knowledge in preparation for a career in the Public Services, such as the Police Service, the Fire & Rescue Service, the Ambulance Service, the Armed Forces, Prison and Security Services or HM Customs and Excise.
The course provides an insight into the skills and helps you to develop the mental, personal and physical qualities abilities required in your chosen service. The course also allows students to develop academic skills which can better equip learners with progression on to a level 3 course.

Uniformed Services
Students on this course may have the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme at Bronze, Silver or Gold depending on your study programme.
Level 3 BTEC course in Uniformed Protective Services.
Assessment is continuous and you will complete a variety of assignments that will assess different skills: these will take the form of presentations, reports, essays or interviews. Each unit studied will be graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.
A requirement of the course is that those who need to will develop English and maths skills.
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
