The course is a combination of vocational units, personal and social development units and functional skills.

You will study topics including:

4 GCSEs at grade 2 including English and maths.

All successful applicants will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring check.

Training is delivered by experienced specialist tutors. You will be expected to undertake a full week of work experience as part of the course. Course related exhibitions and trips will be made during the course. We look forward to meeting you.

On completion of the CACHE Level 1 Certificate – awarded by Council for Awards in Care, Health & Education, you can progress to the NCFE Cache Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner – Level 2, other Level 2 courses or Childcare Apprenticeship Level 2.

You will be assessed by coursework, assignments and a creative folder.

The course is a combination of vocational units, personal and social development units, and functional skills.

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and ther European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on the 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
