This course is for students interested in Business and Law, who wish to know how the legal system works in civil, criminal and business cases.
The course has been designed and developed to give learners a qualification that will enable them to:
Develop their employability and professional skills
Focus on their own self development through personal study
Interact with legal executives and business professionals throughout the course of study
Apply to University for further studies in Law or Business
Apply for an Apprenticehsip route into legal work.
As part of the study programme, students will have time allocated to guest speakers, court visits, a House of Commons” day and a “Think Law” career preperation programme in study time.

Opportunities to progress to Higher Education or an Apprenticeship. This Diploma is equivalent to 3 A Levels for university entrance purposes and relevant UCAS points.
There is continual assessment for each of the units by vocational assignments leading to external quality assessment called National Standards Sampling.
Law units 1 & 3 and Business units 2,3 & 6 require assessment in the form of a nationally set controlled assessment where a period of preperation is permitted beforehand in some units.
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and ther European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on the 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
