Course Overview

If you are interested in exploring the world of Art and Design, you will gain experience of the materials, methods and processes of an artist or designer. By completing this UAL approved qualification you will gain technical and theoretical skills in drawing, printmaking, painting, graphics, photography and 3D. With more emphasis on art and design history, art experimentation and how to train and work in the industry, this course will help you start your creative journey.

Course Requirements

You will need four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or Level 1 qualification in Art and Design at merit or a related vocational area.

You will be asked to attend a skills and screening workshop and attend an interview with a portfolio of work, related work experience or other Level 1 or 2 qualifications.

What you will Learn

Assessment

Units 1 – 8 of the Diploma in Art & Design will be internally assessed and internally moderated against the assessment criteria for those units.

Progression

UAL Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design or other Creative qualifications at Level 3.
