Travel and Aviation - Level 2

Course Overview

This course is for learners who wish to pursue a career in the Travel, Tourism or Aviation Industry. Students will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment or for progression on to a higher level course.

To enhance studies, students will attend a variety of day visits, Chester Zoo, Lake District, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Liverpool City Centre, Liverpool Airport and Manchester Airport guided tours and Manchester Airport Viewing Park. A UK or overseas residential takes place in the Spring Term. Past visits have included: Costa Del Sol, Majorca, London, Berlin and Portugal.

Course Requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including maths and English.

Course Progression

Successful students can progress on to Level 3 studies in Travel and Tourism or Aviation Operations. Students aged 17 years and older may progress on to our Cabin Crew programme (subject to successful interview). Students can also progress into employment.

Course Assessment

The course is assessed by means of two external written exams, assignments, projects, role plays and case study work.

Course Finance

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
