Who is the programme for?
Candidates working in the hospitality industry, who wish to gain a qualification in the service of food and beverages to customers.
What is the programme structure?
The programme consists of a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service.
The diploma requires 37 credits.
The mandatory units cover health & safety, food service, customer service and team working.
The remaining credits are chosen from a range of units covering different styles of food and drinks service best suited to the types of service provided at your workplace.
Are there any special facilities/requirements for the programme?
Practical assessment will take place at your workplace and you will be required to complete questions.
What award will I achieve?
Level 2 Diploma in Food and Beverage Service.

Will there be any extra costs involved?
Students will need to meet the costs of providing files and plastic wallets.
Successful candidates may progress on to other level 2 Hospitality qualifications or Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership. The qualification will support progression in the hospitality sector.
Assessment is continuous with candidates undertaking practical work and producing written evidence to meet the requirements of the Certificate. Candidates will produce a portfolio which will be internally and externally verified.
