Restaurant & Events Level 2

Course Overview

The Restaurant and Events qualification is perfect for you if want to step into the world of event management or catering and hospitality, with a number of courses to progress onto. At Trafford College, you'll be learning from industry experienced staff in award-winning facilities, including professional production kitchens and an on site restaurant. Add to that excellent links with local employers and opportunities for first-rate work experience, and you could soon be working for or running music festivals, conferences, restaurants or hotels. Course Requirements

4 GCSE's at grade 3 or above including maths and English at grade 3 / C

Course Progression

This Level 2 qualification can help you progress to a more senior role within events and hospitality. Successful candidates can progress on to a Level 3 qualification in the Hospitality or Business Sectors.

Course Assessment

Assessment is continuous, with candidates undertaking practical observations, short answer questions and producing written evidence to meet the requirements of the qualification.

Course Finance

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and ther European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on the 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).

Candidates will need to invest in a front of house uniform and we strongly recommended purchasing a Level 3 Hospitality Supervision & Leadership handbook.

You will need to undertake an extended work experience placement as part of your study programme.
