Students learn through a combination of real life working environments, theory and skills classes.
Trafford College's award winning Aspire Restaurant has been nationally recognised by the AA and is open to the public for lunch and dinner and offers a realistic working environment. There are four well equipped industry standard kitchens for training purposes and a demonstrationkitchen for presnetations and masterclasses.
On successful completion you will achieve:
Level 2 Diploma in Professional Chef
Food Safety in Catering CIEH Level 2 Award
The course is also open to students who have completed a Level 1 qualification or those who have acquired the necessary skills through working in the industry.
To prepare you for a higher level qualification, employment or university you might be required to study a GCSE qualification in maths and English.

Cook and finish basic fish dishes
Cook and finish basic meat dishes
Cook and finish basic poultry dishes
Cook and finish basic vegetable dishes
Prepare, cook and finish basic soups
Preparation and cooking of bread and dough products
