Foundation Learning - Vocational

Course Overview

We have a wide range of courses available at Entry 3 and Level 1. All learners will continue to study maths and English, employability skills and work related learning. In addition, you will have the opportunity to choose a vocational option, which you will study with industry professionals for 6 hours per week.

All classes up to and including Level 1 courses have a skilled Learning Facilitator to assist in your learning. Foundation Learning students also have access to a Mentor who is dedicated to the department.

Course Requirements

There are no formal requirements for Foundation Learning courses. All applicants will be asked to attend an assessment event, where the Foundation Learning Team will assess you to find out the most suitable course for you.

Course Skills & Benefits

For learners ages 16-19, our ESOL courses for young people, provide a nationally recognised qualification. Alongside your English lessons, you will also study maths, employability and study skills.

Course Progression

These courses provide progression to a wide range of courses at a higher level, provided you meet the entry requirements.

You will be continually assessed throughout the duration of your course.
