Equine Care level 2 Certificate

Course Overview

The City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate has been developed to focus upon developing the knowledge, understanding and skills required at this level in the equine industry, the role of the horse-person in the industry and the position of the equine industry locally and nationally. Subjects include:
o Yard management
o Equine health
o Tack and equipment
o Riding and exercising horses
o Horse handling
o Extensive hands-on work experience

Course Requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including maths and English.

The course is based at Carrington Riding Centre.

What are the costs?
There is a branded course uniform which will need to be worn at the Riding Centre and the cost for this will be approximately £70 payable at enrolment/induction.

This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
