Acryllic Painting

Course Overview

During this 11 week course you will be introduced to a variety of skills and techniques using acrylic paints. Each week a different subject matter and technique will enable you to explore the possibilities of this versatile medium. Aspects will include colour theory, watercolour, impasto, scumbling, drybrush and many more. All creative activities will be placed in context with the work of well known artists.


Course Requirements

No formal qualifications but it is preferable if learners have undertaken the Watercolour or Intro to Drawing course

Course Skills & Benefits

Basic paints, brushes and surfaces on which to paint will be provided. As the course progresses, you will need to purchase some papers, boards and canvas.

Course Progression

Further Intermediate drawing and painting courses, such as Mixed Media Image Making or Life Drawing. For those wishing to take their studies further and to gain a qualification, there is the Foundation Diploma course

Course Assessment

There is no formal assessment however you will be asked to complete a RARPA confidence survey.
This will happen at the start and end of the course and will record your progress in this subject
