Students at Trafford College had the privilege to take part in the ‘Elite Skills Academy’ event hosted by the British Army, as a part of the national BASE (British Army Supporting Education) initiative. All Level 3 Public Services students were able to get involved in the team building and problem-solving activities.

Barry Devin, Course Leader for Public Services said: “The workshop comes at a perfect time as the students are beginning their Teamwork & Leadership unit, so they were able to work towards their development of teamwork and leadership skills, all of which are assessed as part of their studies”.

He continued to say: “As well as providing the students with useful knowledge for their studies, the British Army members gave the students an insightful talk on possible career paths within the Army.”

At Trafford College, we encourage students to explore all possible career opportunities and talks like these expose them to options they may not have previously considered. Find out more about Sport and Public Services courses here
